Senior HR People Partner

  • Type: Permanent
  • Location: UK, Leeds - Hybrid working
  • Reference: LeedsPP

A major UK organisation—recently formed through the integration of two established companies—is strengthening its HR capability across its large operational network. With a UK workforce of more than 4,000 colleagues and a significant proportion working within production and supply chain, the business is investing in a modern, commercially aligned HR model designed to support continued transformation, operational excellence and cultural evolution.

Reporting to the Head of HR for Production & Planning, the HR Business Partner will take responsibility for the Leeds site, a non-unionised operation of around 260 colleagues. The role will work in close partnership with a senior leadership team covering operations, engineering, planning, quality and continuous improvement, acting as a strategic advisor during a period of considerable organisational change. It offers the opportunity to influence leaders, shape site culture and embed contemporary people practices in an environment that values commercial focus, challenge, pace and continuous improvement.

Success in the role depends on the ability to build credibility quickly and engage senior stakeholders in a way that is both constructive and impactful. The ideal candidate will bring proven HR partnering experience from a complex, fast-paced environment, along with the confidence to question established ways of working and drive meaningful improvement. A commercial mindset is essential, together with the capability to translate people priorities into operational performance outcomes. Pragmatism, resilience and strong influencing skills will be vital, as will a genuine appetite for shaping a refreshed HR model within a business undergoing significant evolution.

The position is offered on a hybrid basis, requiring three days per week on site in Leeds and two days working remotely. The benefits package includes a performance-related bonus, a car cash allowance with an additional eco incentive for electric vehicles, family private medical insurance, a defined contribution pension scheme with employer contributions, and life assurance for colleagues enrolled in the pension scheme.

This role will appeal to an experienced and proactive HR Business Partner who is motivated by the challenge of supporting a complex operational site and who wants to make a visible impact within a newly integrated, forward-looking organisation.

Vana came to us via a recommendation from another organisation out of our sector. We found that Jo did significant research on our sector and our organisation before we met or entered into any formal agreement. This meant the candidate field they brought us were all of the highest quality, had relevant experience, and were at the right point in their careers to have a big impact with us. Jo placed successfully first time and have maintained a supportive relationship with us over many months. We are delighted that we followed up on the recommendation we received, and in turn we whole heartedly recommend Vana and Jo to any other organisation.
