How we do it
We are the competitive advantage: searching, consulting and assessing every client and candidate individually.
There is no broadstroke analysis of the market. We use targeted searches, have an in-depth understanding of specialist and generalists, and access to a diverse network of personal contacts developed over 20 years of hands-on experience.
Who we work with
We work with FTSE 100 organisations, private equity-backed enterprises and new challenger brand businesses across the commercial sector.
Delivering C-Suite, Leadership and Mid-Management hires, we resource, assess and select talent across the employee lifecycle using our unparalleled HR network cultivated from 20 years in the field.

Most CPO roles come with a seat at the top table on paper. Far fewer come with a Chief Executive who genuinely wants a partner in shaping strategy, not just an executor of it β and fewer still come with a remit this broad, spanning HR, Property & Facilities, ESG and Internal Communications. This is one of those rarer opportunities, at a specialist, highly regulated financial services organisation employing c.1000 colleagues. This is not a role about keeping the HR function ticking over; it is about leading the people agenda through the next phase of maturity, post-integration. Our client has a genuine, values-led sense of purpose that runs through everything it does, with the customer experience sitting at the heart of every major decision, giving the business a clarity of mission that is rare in the sector, and itβs time to hand the next chapter to a new CPO.
This is a full Executive Committee seat, not a supporting function: principal adviser to the CEO, active co-author of business strategy, and owner of that breadth of remit, leading a sizeable team. Internal communications is used deliberately here, connecting every employee’s day-to-day role to the wider customer journey and to the outcomes customers experience β making this a genuinely commercial, not just cultural, part of the brief. You will join a well-integrated, collaborative Executive team that works effectively together and values challenge as much as consensus, led by a Chief Executive who is visibly invested in employee experience as a business imperative. The business is still on its journey following a period of significant organisational change, and the next CPO will not inherit a finished story β they will help write it, with real scope to leave a lasting mark on the organisation’s next chapter.

You are ambitious, both for the organisation you join and for your own career, and you are ready to make your mark on two high-profile and exacting environments.
A background in multi-site, fast-paced organisations will serve you well here. The sector you come from matters far less than your ability to move quickly, hold complexity and bring people with you.

Build a business. Shape a culture. Create a legacy for Wales.
This is a rare opportunity to join a newly established, purpose-led organisation at the very start of its journey and play a defining role in its future success.
Led by an inspiring and values-driven CEO with a genuine passion for people, culture and leadership, this organisation is being built with ambition, purpose and long-term impact at its core. Designed to be modern, agile and highly effective, the business will remain intentionally lean, bringing together a small team of exceptional people with a shared commitment to excellence.
As Director of People and a member of the Executive Team, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the culture, leadership capability and employee experience from the ground up. This is a standalone leadership role, offering genuine ownership and influence across the entire people agenda. There are no layers to navigate and no large HR team to manage; instead, you’ll work directly with leaders across the business to build an exceptional organisation from day one.
You will join an Executive team that values fresh thinking, challenge and innovation, helping to create an environment where talented people can do their very best work. Strategic in outlook but hands-on in approach, you will be equally comfortable contributing around the Executive table and rolling up your sleeves to deliver.
We are seeking an experienced HR generalist with exposure to FCA-regulated and/or financial services environments, strong commercial judgement and a passion for building high-performing cultures.
This opportunity could suit an established Director of People seeking a highly impactful lateral move, or an ambitious Head of People ready to take their first seat at the Executive table.
Based in Cardiff with hybrid working, the role offers a compelling opportunity for Welsh talent currently working elsewhere to return home and help build something truly significant.
For the right person, this is a chance to create lasting impact, shape an organisation from the very beginning and help build one of Wales’ most exciting new organisations.
