Chief People Officer

  • Type: Permanent
  • Location: UK, Dorset
  • Reference: J35276

This is a role that sits right at the heart of a business on an ambitious journey. Backed by private equity and already operating across the UK and internationally, the organisation employs around 900 colleagues and has set its sights on doubling in size over the next three to five years. Growth will come through expanding partnerships, opening in new territories, and investing in new technology products that will shape its market.

As Chief People Officer, you’ll be part of the executive team and a trusted thought partner to the board. You’ll bring data-led insights and bold ideas to the table, helping to shape a global people strategy that enables sustainable growth and long-term value creation. This is not a role for someone who wants to simply maintain the status quo; it’s about leading transformation with clarity, energy, and credibility.

You’ll have the autonomy to design and drive the people plan through an exceptional team. That means focusing on attracting and retaining world-class talent across multiple geographies, while also building a best-in-class colleague experience. You’ll be expected to foster a high-performance, inclusive culture that empowers all teams. At the same time, you’ll continually improve and optimise systems so that the organisation can generate meaningful data to inform decisions. Building leadership capability and succession plans will be central to supporting innovation and expansion, and you’ll be relied upon to provide concise, evidence-based recommendations at board level.

The right candidate will be a self-starter, commercially astute, and clear on how people levers drive EBITDA and enterprise value. While experience in multi-country HR leadership is advantageous, it’s not essential. What matters most is credibility with both technical and corporate function talent pools, and being energised by transformation, growth, and innovation in an evolving enterprise.

This is a rare opportunity to work alongside a visionary CEO who sees HR as a strategic driver of success. You’ll lead a diverse, international team and make an impact across multiple nations. To establish yourself and build relationships, you’ll commit to around three days a week in HQ initially, before moving to a more flexible rhythm of two days in HQ thereafter.
