We are seeking a commercially astute and forward-thinking People Services Director to lead the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant core people services across a high-growth organisation. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, this role is central to enhancing the colleague experience, enabling strong operational performance, and ensuring that all people-related processes and infrastructure are fit for purpose, scalable, and future-ready.
In this role, you’ll design and deliver a strategic approach to people services, covering everything from onboarding and offboarding to employee relations, reward, change, administration, and data. You’ll align these services to the business strategy, ensuring they evolve with the needs of the workforce and reflect external best practice. You’ll drive continuous improvement across policies, processes, frameworks, and service models to boost efficiency and enhance service quality.
Working closely with IT, you’ll unlock the power of automation and technology to streamline delivery and improve user experience. You’ll also lead a proactive and solutions-focused employee relations service that builds leader capability, supports a positive workplace culture, and mitigates risk. By partnering with the data and analytics team, you’ll ensure leaders have the insight they need to make informed decisions across the employee lifecycle.
You’ll inspire and lead a high-performing People Services function, embedding strong ways of working and creating a team culture that reflects the organisation’s values and ambitions. You’ll collaborate with senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, and other business units, and manage external partners to deliver great service and value. As part of the senior leadership team, you’ll also contribute to the broader people agenda and lead strategic projects that shape the future of the business.
Bringing proven experience in leading people operations or shared services functions in a fast-paced, multi-site environment you will have built deep expertise across core people services, including ER, compliance, governance and systems. You’re commercially savvy, customer-focused, and thrive in environments that demand pace, innovation, and change. Confident influencing at all levels you will have a track record of delivering transformation and operational excellence. A CIPD qualification or equivalent is expected.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead meaningful change and build a best-in-class people services function within a values-led, ambitious organisation.

Debbie is an outstanding recruitment, talent and client management professional. I have had the pleasure of working with her a number of times in the last 10 years, and unlike many peers in her industry, she and her partner Jo consistently treat clients and candidates with the level of respect, professionalism and most importantly with a personal service, such a big decision requires. Her ability to really understand client needs, candidate capabilities and matching the two, while retaining the role of a true trusted advisor is very impressive. I would wholeheartedly recommend Debbie to any prospective blue chip client, or HR professional looking for a new opportunity.
