We are looking for a HR/Talent Director who is eager to join the senior leadership team, and partner the CEO to co-create and build-out a B2C tech business. This is a ‘start-up’ in the truest sense; developing an agile organisation from scratch – but with the significant investment and security from an established FTSE Group.
The CEO is in the process of hiring the leadership team – carefully formed as interdependent, to collaborate and co-create core organisational values, define culture and establish agile ways of working. Firmly in a position to capitalise upon the commercial opportunity within their target market, geometric growth is a reasonable expectation, and therefore this is a brand you’ll be proud to have played a role in founding.
Building out as an agile organisational set-up, with two key hubs, you will work with the leadership team to attract, engage and retain talent that thrive in this environment and demonstrate potential for future development.
You’ll enjoy taking a ‘hands-on’ approach and be nimble to move between strategic and tactical requirements – particularly in the early chapter. With a budget to hire a small team, you’ll be keen to on-board early support to enable Talent Acquisition and Cultural Development strategies. This will certainly be a priority focus in the first 12-18 months however, please recognise that this role offers a full generalist remit and the accountability to define and create a HR and Talent strategy across the employee lifecycle.
To recap; successful leaders here will be experienced with potential, take a hands-on approach, can disagree and commit, be agile and adaptable to change, and exhibit a genuine passion to play a key role in building and leading this organisation to success. Mental agility will be vital. You’ll certainly have experience of HR/Talent in Tech – either working within the sector or partnering an agile customer group within this space. Mobility is helpful, as in the early days they’ll need your support 1-2 days in the Hub (M3 Corridor) and 1-2 days in Manchester, with opportunity to work remotely around this. They’ve also got a space in London, so if the city is home – this is also an optional place to connect.
