This is a HR Director opportunity to support our client’s sites in the UK and Europe.
With investment, business growth and future expansion plans into new markets has there has been the opportunity to reshape HR in the new organisation. The role of HRD is therefore a newly created role within the new model and will sit as a peer with the other senior leaders and partner with Site Leaders.
We are seeking a proactive, commercially focused individual with an interest, desire and capacity to develop. There is clear trajectory to the role of Global HRD in c. 3 years and you will demonstrate drive, be outcome focused, creative and entrepreneurial. In addition to leading HR across sites you will be someone who can operate as part of the global team and across global projects.
A background in manufacturing / engineering / high-tech environment would be helpful, or another organisation where it’s understood that commodity selling isn’t necessarily a product (eg. business services). You will be someone familiar with operating within a growth environment, operating with a value-add mind-set and a direct, no nonsense HR approach. Solutions and decisions happen quickly as the organisational structure is lean and flat resulting in a fast pace and an apolitical environment.
You will need a broad understanding of commercially aligned HR and an appreciation of all touch points across employee experience. Given growth and acquisitions, an orientation towards organisational development would be useful and experience of operating within a unionised environment is essential.
Based in Gloucestershire there will be a requirement to be site based c. 4 days a week with 1 day flexing to work from home is desired.
