We’re delighted to be working in partnership with Yeo Valley to lead the search for a People Director to join their Executive team.
As you may know, Yeo Valley is an independent family owned organisation grown from firm farming roots to become a leading UK dairy manufacturer and distinctive, much loved organic consumer brand. They continue to invent, experiment and create all sorts of compelling new products whilst remaining true to their core values – doing the right things in the right way. Working together, each of their 1,700 passionate colleagues contribute to making this happen.
With a relatively new and ambitious Executive team in place, a clear and articulated strategic plan has been launched, and a period of cultural change and organisational development has begun. Achieving their ambitions will deliver long term sustainable growth and strengthen their position to continue to invest in people, brand and operations – and their greater ambitions to explore strategic development opportunities.
Partnering the MD, you’ll relish the opportunity to work as a strategic thought partner to activate and steer their cultural change process – this transformation is at an early stage, and colleagues have a strong appetite for the adventure ahead. There is a recognition that culture is implicit rather than explicit, emotional rather than rational, and it’s these things that make it so powerful. You’ll appreciate this and, as a catalyst of change, play an integral role in supporting leaders with a practical guide to embed change as they transition to become a truly values-led organisation, realising the benefits for everyone; colleagues, suppliers, and customers.
Leading and working with the HR team, you’ll bring the people plan to life with a solid understanding for how to connect all stages of the employee lifecycle – weaving Yeo Valley’s values and principles seamlessly across all touch points – creating and delivering a wholesome employee experience that will attract, engage, grow and retain the best talent. Supported by a strong and capable team, you will improve communication and engagement strategies to connect all colleagues to Yeo Valley’s purpose, ambitions and evolving story.
If you can demonstrate success to date as a HR leader within an organisation that employs similar diversity of colleagues across multiple sites within an industry that moves at pace, we’d love to hear from you. This may indeed be within the FMCG sector, but we also see synergy within a number of others. Ideally, your career to date will have encompassed a HR leadership role within a values-led SME, but a similar role within an OpCo or significant BU operating with high degree of independence will also be considered.
It’s an exciting time to join the Yeo Valley family, and this role will certainly appeal if you enjoy a blend of strategic and operational activities; it’s a thriving business where you can make an impact and of a size where unnecessary bureaucracy is unwelcome. We spend a lot of time working – and Yeo Valley are striving to make it the best place it can be for everyone. Recognising that the South West might not be home for some, Yeo Valley can offer accommodation for 6-12months for those who need a little time relocate to this lovely spot.Apply Apply
VANA HR Resourcing
Debbie worked with me on the search for a Group HR Director. From the initial briefing to the final candidate interviews the process was clear, structured, quick and highly professional. One of Debbie's key strengths is to really understand the needs of her customers. And this came through in the strength of the short list of candidates she delivered. Overall a great customer experience and hence I can only recommend Varna HR Resourcing unreservedly.Klaus Goeldenbot, Group Chief Executive Officer, Nisbets
