We’ve loved playing a part in building the talent team at Entain led by Graeme Johnson who we introduced back in 2018. The culture here is as real as it gets; it’s safe, fun and inclusive. They’re a multicultural business that values, celebrates, and respects individual differences; everyone has a voice here and the space to do their best work. Teamwork remains at the heart of their success and you can find out more about the passionate, driven and smart people with entrepreneurial flair that power Entain right here
The Group are committed to a broad CSR strategy and have built a Global Foundation to coordinate their activities around the world, committing to donate a £100m over the next five years. This is currently focused on four key areas; responsible gambling, grass roots sports and people, men’s health, and local communities to their office locations.
With the biggest growing FTSE stock in the last 12 months Entain have just entered the FTSE 50, and as they continue to scale in the US (with 25% market share of a $29bn market), it’s an exhilarating time to join. As one of the world’s largest listed sports betting and gaming groups, their purpose is to revolutionise their industry and create the most exciting and trusted entertainment for every customer. Home to 29 well-known brands across the world; strategically, they are focused on growing in regulated markets, leading on responsibility, and expanding to new audiences. Products are exciting and their growth unparalleled, with a clear competitive advantage in their proprietary technology. They’re committed to transforming the sector for their players, their people, and for the good of entertainment.
As their Head of Talent & Capability sets off for maternity leave, we’re looking for an ardent and keen all-round talent management specialist to support Graeme for the next twelve months. It’s a great opportunity to lead activities to define, measure, assess, and develop their highly capable workforce.
Primarily focused in three areas; Critical Talent, Talent Reviews, and Assessments. You’ll help Graeme and the senior HR community to deeply understand the talent profile of their leaders within critical roles, and support leaders to create the right environment for their teams to perform at their best. Supporting the broader HRBP community with talent reviews across the organisation; you’ll advise on how to assess and measure talent and potential, ensuring both the Entain behavioural framework and potential model is understood and embedded, and provide support with appropriate leadership interventions to develop both functional and organisational capability. Nurturing internal talent is what they do, and through close partnership with the talent acquisition team, you’ll ensure that key leadership roles are hired internally first whenever possible. There’s lots of project scope for you to get involved in too whilst you’re in play.
Relationship management will be your forte; building and fostering strong relationships that enable you to host development conversations, provide feedback, and coach leaders through their growth. You may have a background in Occupational Psychology, be an internal Talent specialist or be operating as a HRBP with a depth of expertise in the talent space. We’re looking for a strong cultural fit here, a proactive approach and a continuous improvement mindset. Time is of the essence and we’re looking for the successful hire to commence in role before September (current incumbent heading off at the end of July).
