Partnering with the CPO, this is an opportunity to lead on all aspects of development and training, including management/leadership development and professional development, apprenticeships, and compliance training (as you’d expect compliance training is a dominant feature in role).

This is a broad role and in conjunction with the CPO, key stakeholders and senior HR colleagues you will undertake continuous training needs analysis, and create and deliver a learning proposition accessible to all colleagues. You’ll create management and leadership development programmes to equip leaders operating through the pandemic, and enhance their capability for future leadership within this changing environment. Leading a team of 10 with 3 direct reports, you’ll continue to drive a high performing, customer centric learning hub. Managing and the L&D budget and expenditure (this will include apprenticeships).
To succeed in this role you will have experience of leading a Learning function incorporating technical and compliance training, combined with management and leadership development. You’ll enjoy the full cycle of accountability from identifying requirements, through to course design, delivery, and evaluation. Apprenticeship/Early Careers will have also featured; managing grant funding to create meaningful and effective apprenticeship programmes, retaining and mobilising talent through an organisation. With a strong competence in coaching, leadership development and vocational training you will have the proven ability to confidently identify programmes and solutions that build capability and talent for succession at all levels, satisfying both current and future needs. Experience within a multisite, highly regulated organisation would be advantageous, incorporating knowledge and expertise of satisfying compliance and regulatory demands.
Location: Whilst currently colleagues who can – are working from home, post lockdown measures you would be based in Witney, Oxfordshire at least one day a week with travel to the regions (Gloucester, Trowbridge, Lincoln), combined with remote working from home circa 1 day a week.Apply Apply
