This is a superb opportunity to play a critical leadership role as both strategic and operational contributor; balancing an active role as a member of the Exec team as specialist advisor with shaping and leading the operationalisation of a people strategy that will continue to hire, engage, and retain the best talent. Creating and embedding a highly effective communication and engagement strategy will be a key priority; cultivating an enriching colleague experience that is consistent across their community to drive increasingly high levels of engagement and satisfaction. Embedding a learning culture will be of equal importance; developing talent and increasing leadership capability, to deliver clear and robust succession plans for the future.

Leading a HR team of specialists and generalist (c.29) with nine direct reports, the successful candidate will be an inspirational and authentic leader with a reputation for building and developing a high-performing and socialised team; encouraging innovation and agility, responding to frequent organisational change, and driving continuous improvements.

We’re looking for a commercial HR leader with a track record of leading a HR function within a fast paced, customer and colleague centric B2C and/or B2B organisation of similar scale, employing multi-skilled and mission critical front-line colleagues. Whilst experience of working within a private equity backed business is not a pre-requisite, it would be advantageous. Critically important, is an appreciation for operating within a highly driven leadership team obsessed with creating points of inflection – functional and organisational. High energy, strong IQ/EQ balance, mental toughness, and humility are all important qualities – combined with a good sense of humour. It can be fast and relentless operating here, so it’s important to have fun along the way. With a sweet equity component, this will entice candidates with a genuine appetite to be a part of this exhilarating organisational journey.
