HR Leader – Technology Community

  • Type: Permanent
  • Location: UK, Hybrid / Flexible working
  • Reference: J10615

Our client created a place where everyone could truly be themselves and belong some time ago.  But they didn’t stop there.  Helping everyone succeed as individuals and together; there is a holistic value-set here that’s evident in all that they do, underpinned by a continuous drive to enhance organisational culture and improve colleague experience.

Recognised as an industry leader with operations and partnerships in multiple countries, their UK business remains an established employer of choice, and this is a rare opportunity to join the UK HRLT.  We are looking for a HR leader to shape and deliver the people plan for their UK Technology function, partnering their CIO and CNO, supporting their c3000 tech community thrive.  As a key member of the UK and Global Tech HRLT, you’ll also play a key role in influencing strategy to be future ready for the ever-changing technology and customer landscape.  This will include the opportunity to personally define and lead their pan-European Digital Engineering strategy across multiple markets; designing and driving a resourcing plan for 7000+ software engineers over the next few years.

Here, it’s natural to take the flexibility and empowerment of working from home and combine it with the magic of coming together in their business communities – when they need to.  So you manage your time to work at your best.  Their scale, vision and success provides countless challenges and experiences that will excite you.  This offers huge scope to shape your progression, and feel encouraged and supported along the way.  It’s refreshing to see both lateral and vertical moves can be achieved either within the UK, or globally.

To be successful in role, you’ll be a guru in partnering Technology communities and be familiar with the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.  Whilst previous experience of working across multiple geographies is advantageous, it’s not a pre-requisite.  However, you’ll certainly understand the digital engineering talent landscape, expertly lead organisational and cultural transformation, and build and execute a people strategy that drives high engagement and enables business success.  Pragmatism works well here, combined with advanced emotional intelligence, a strong business acumen and naturally high integrity.  It’s important you like to have fun too.  That’s critical.

Embracing and welcoming everyone has always been in their DNA, offering equal opportunities for all.  ED&I sits firmly at the heart of their business strategy and they have strived ahead to form a number of D&I employee networks, and lead a variety of programmes and initiatives with great success.  They are committed to doing more, and have publicly pledged their targets of how they will be achieved.

Sustainability is equally at the core, with a series of commitments and projects to help drive positive change for the planet and humanity.  Their registered charity is also an impressive force for good.  We can tell you more about this.
